Customer Reviews Napkin Paper Machine Configuration at Our Factory
An overseas customer recently visited DOUBLE Machinery to discuss a new paper napkin production project. The customer wanted to compare napkin machine configurations and understand how finished napkin size, folding style, embossing, printing, and packing requirements affect equipment selection.
Starting with the Finished Napkin
Napkin machine selection begins with the finished product. During the meeting, our team reviewed the customer's planned open size, folded size, number of plies, paper weight, fold type, embossing pattern, and required printing colors.
The customer intended to produce napkins for several market segments, so format changeover was an important consideration. Our engineers explained which adjustments would be required when changing napkin size, paper specification, or embossing pattern.
Inspecting the Converting Equipment
In the workshop, the customer inspected the paper feeding, embossing, printing, folding, cutting, counting, and discharge areas of the napkin machine.
The discussion covered print registration, ink supply, embossing pressure, paper tension, counting accuracy, and finished napkin collection. The customer also reviewed machine access for routine cleaning and maintenance.
Our team explained that the recommended production speed must match the paper quality and finished napkin specification. A stable daily output is more useful than selecting equipment based only on the maximum design speed.
Packing Requirements
The customer also discussed whether the napkins would be packed manually or connected to an automatic napkin packing machine. Pack quantity, bag dimensions, film specification, and sealing style all influence the downstream equipment arrangement.
For automatic production, the napkin machine output and packing speed must be coordinated to reduce stack accumulation and manual handling.
Visit Result
The visit helped define the main napkin specifications and the required machine functions. A preliminary configuration was prepared, including folding, embossing, printing, counting, and packing options.
The final proposal will be completed after confirming the customer's napkin samples, paper specification, required output, electrical standard, and workshop layout.
