DB-IF-30P Tissue Bundle Packing Machine Installed in Romania in 2024
In 2024, a tissue products manufacturer in Romania added a DB-IF-30P automatic tissue bundle packing machine to improve the secondary packaging of its soft-pack facial tissue products.
Project Background
The customer was already producing individually wrapped facial tissue packs. These single packs met the retail requirement, but a large part of the production still needed to be grouped into multi-pack bundles for supermarkets, wholesalers, and regional distributors.
Previously, operators arranged the individual packs by hand before inserting them into outer bags. This method was workable for smaller orders, but variations in pack position and bundle shape became more noticeable as order volume increased.
The customer did not need another primary tissue packing machine. The requirement was specifically for a downstream machine that could receive finished soft packs and combine them into sale-ready bundles.
Bundle Format Review
The project began with samples of the customer's finished facial tissue packs and several intended bundle arrangements. The review covered:
-
Individual pack dimensions
-
Number of packs per bundle
-
Single-row or double-row arrangement
-
Outer-bag dimensions and material
-
Incoming pack orientation
-
Connection with the existing discharge conveyor
-
Space required for operation and bag replacement
The bundle packing stage needed to remain separate from the primary wrapper so that each machine could be adjusted independently.
Delivered Solution
The DB-IF-30P automatic tissue bundle packing machine was selected for grouping the customer's finished soft packs into pre-made outer bags.
During commissioning, the feeding guides, pack grouping sequence, bag length, sealing temperature, and discharge position were adjusted using the actual retail packs. Different settings were recorded for the main bundle quantities so operators could change formats without repeating the complete setup process.
Project Result
The new machine created a more organized route from individual soft packs to finished multipack bundles. Product arrangement became more consistent, and operators no longer needed to manually build every bundle before sealing.
The finished bundles were easier to count, place into transport cartons, and identify during warehouse handling. Because the primary and secondary packing stages remained separate, the customer could continue producing individual packs when bundle packaging was not required.
Buyer Takeaway
A tissue bundle packing project should be based on the fully wrapped individual pack—not only the tissue size. Provide the finished pack sample, bundle quantity, arrangement, outer-bag specification, upstream output, and required conveyor direction before confirming the machine.
