In 2023, a tissue converter in Morocco added a DB-HT-45P automatic hand towel paper packing machine to improve the packing stage of its folded hand towel operation.

Project Background

The customer was already producing folded hand towels for hotels, offices, restaurants, and commercial washrooms. Folding capacity was adequate, but the finished towel stacks were still being arranged and packed with considerable manual handling.

This created an uneven production flow. Operators needed to straighten the stacks, place them into bags, and check the package shape before sealing. The customer therefore wanted to improve the downstream process without replacing the existing hand towel converting equipment.

Requirement Review

Before confirming the packing machine, the project team reviewed the actual towel stack size, sheets per pack, feeding direction, packaging material, and available installation space.

Particular attention was given to the connection between the existing collection table and the packing-machine infeed. A stable stack orientation was necessary because poorly aligned towels could affect bag opening, product insertion, and final package appearance.

Equipment Configuration

The DB-HT-45P automatic hand towel paper packing machine was selected according to the customer's finished towel stack and package format.

During commissioning, the feeding position, bag-forming section, sealing temperature, and discharge arrangement were adjusted using the customer's own towel samples and packaging material. Operators were also trained to record settings for the main package formats rather than readjusting the machine from the beginning during every changeover.

Project Result

The new packing section created a clearer production route from folded towel stacks to finished packs. Operators spent less time repeatedly arranging and transferring the product, while the final packages became more uniform in shape.

The customer also retained the flexibility to use the existing hand towel machine, because the investment focused specifically on the packing bottleneck rather than replacing the complete converting process.
