Automatic Hand Towel Packing Upgrade for a Thai Tissue Converter

In 2024, a tissue converter in Thailand added an automatic hand towel packing machine to improve the presentation and handling of its commercial folded towels. The finished products were intended for hotels, offices, restaurants, and local hygiene-product distributors.

Project Requirement

The customer already had stable hand towel converting capacity but needed a more repeatable packing process for several regular product specifications. Each format used a defined towel stack, pack length, and printed film design, so the packing section had to support practical changeovers without disturbing the upstream production schedule.

Machine Setup

The DB-HT-45P automatic hand towel paper packing machine was matched to the customer’s towel-stack dimensions, feeding direction, and packaging film. During trial production, the team checked the spacing of towel stacks on the infeed conveyor, film tracking, bag length, sealing temperature, and finished-pack discharge.

Separate settings were recorded for the customer’s main pack formats. This allowed operators to return to an established setup when changing the towel count or printed film, instead of repeating the complete adjustment process each time.

Result

The new equipment created a clearer flow from folded towel stacks to sealed retail packs. The customer gained more consistent package shape and printed-film positioning, while regular format changes became easier to organize. The dedicated infeed conveyor also helped maintain suitable spacing between towel stacks before they entered the packing section.
