Standard Pocket Tissue Production Lines and Equipment Selection
Standard Pocket Tissue Production: Format Selection and Line Configuration
Standard pocket tissues are portable, individually wrapped tissue packs designed for everyday retail and personal-care markets. Compared with mini formats, standard packs generally provide a larger folded tissue, a higher sheet count, or a thicker finished pack.
Common Product Formats
Standard pocket tissues may be produced from two-ply, three-ply, or four-ply tissue. Finished products can vary in unfolded sheet size, folded dimensions, sheets per pack, pack thickness, and film design.
The DB-HK series supports a standard format with a 210 × 210 mm unfolded tissue and a 105 × 53 mm folded tissue.
The DB-W-200P supports standard and portable pocket tissue products with unfolded dimensions of 175–200 × 175–200 mm, folded dimensions of 88–100 × 59–70 mm, and a broader range of sheets per pack.
These are two different standard product systems. The production line should therefore be selected according to the customer’s exact finished tissue and pack dimensions.
Application Scope
Standard pocket tissues are widely used for:
Supermarkets and convenience stores
Daily personal care
Travel and commuting
Hotels and hospitality
Private-label retail products
Promotional tissue packs
Retail multipacks and family bundles
These applications generally require consistent tissue dimensions, accurate sheet counts, and an attractive finished package.
Production and Quality Requirements
Stable tissue-web feeding and tension control help maintain alignment between tissue plies. Folding and cutting accuracy affect the finished tissue dimensions, while counting consistency determines the number of sheets in every pack.
The primary packaging section should provide stable product insertion and sealing for the selected stack thickness. For larger production projects, the main line output should be matched with downstream bundling or case-packing capacity.
The DB-HK-220P Full Servo Dual-Channel Pocket Tissue Production Line is another option for standard pocket tissue production. It supports the DB-HK series standard format and has a rated output of 180–220 packs per minute.
The two lines should not be selected by speed alone. Tissue dimensions, sheet count, pack size, factory layout, and downstream packaging requirements should all be considered.
Selecting the Right Configuration
When planning standard pocket tissue production, buyers should confirm:
Tissue ply and parent-roll specification
Unfolded tissue dimensions
Folded tissue dimensions
Sheets per pack
Finished pack size and thickness
Target output
Packaging-film specification
Embossing, perforation, and labeling requirements
Secondary bundling or case-packing requirements
Factory layout and utility supply
DOUBLE Machinery can review these production requirements and recommend a suitable equipment configuration for the intended standard pocket tissue product.
To evaluate the right production line for your standard pocket tissue format, please share your finished tissue dimensions, sheets per pack, target output, parent-roll specification, factory layout, and downstream packaging requirements. DOUBLE Machinery will recommend a suitable equipment configuration based on your confirmed product parameters.
