In 2023, a personal-care products manufacturer in Vietnam added an automatic mini wet tissue packing machine to expand its range of portable hygiene products. The project focused on individually packed wet tissues for travel, restaurants, hotels, personal care, and promotional use.

Project Background

The customer was already producing several small-format hygiene products but depended on manual or semi-automatic equipment for wet tissue packaging. As order quantities increased, the existing process produced inconsistent package dimensions and required frequent manual handling.

The customer wanted to automate the primary packaging stage while retaining the ability to produce several mini-pack formats. Because these products are compact and intended for everyday carrying, the project was included within the broader portable and pocket tissue product category.

Customer Requirements

The customer provided finished wet tissue samples, package drawings, film specifications, and information about the discharge conditions of the upstream equipment. The main requirements were:

• Automatic packaging of individual mini wet tissue packs
• Stable feeding of small and relatively soft products
• Consistent bag forming and sealing
• Compatibility with printed packaging film
• Convenient adjustment for several package dimensions
• Reduced manual product insertion and handling
• A compact layout suitable for the existing workshop

The customer also required accurate film positioning because some orders used printed packaging for hotels, restaurants, and private-label customers.

Equipment Configuration

After reviewing the product and package samples, the DB-WT-110P automatic wet tissue packing machine was selected for the project. The machine is designed for the individual packaging stage of mini wet tissue products.

Customized dimensions can be discussed according to the actual product. The published packaging speed is 100–110 packs per minute, while the regular production speed depends on the package size, incoming product condition, film quality, sealing temperature, and upstream supply.

The machine can work with CPP film, PE film, and paper-plastic composite film. It supports M-type pre-made bags or roll-film tube bags, depending on the confirmed packaging arrangement. The project configuration used automatic product feeding, bag forming, bag opening, product insertion, sealing, and finished-pack discharge.

Testing and Commissioning

Before shipment, packaging tests were carried out using material close to the customer's intended film specification. The technical team checked product feeding, bag opening, insertion position, sealing temperature, package appearance, and finished-pack discharge.

During commissioning, the operators were trained to:

• Load and replace the packaging film
• Adjust the guides for different pack sizes
• Set the sealing temperature
• Correct film-position deviations
• Check bag opening and product insertion
• Respond to alarms and feeding interruptions
• Clean the sealing and product-contact areas

Different parameter settings were recorded for the customer's main package formats. Thicker products required a different forming and insertion setup from thinner single-use wet tissue packs.

Project Result

The new machine created a more organized packaging process for the customer's mini wet tissue products. Automatic feeding and product insertion reduced repetitive manual work, while controlled bag forming and sealing improved the consistency of the finished packs.

The customer was also able to prepare different package designs for hospitality, travel, food-service, and private-label orders. Changing between formats still required mechanical and film-setting adjustments, but the recorded production parameters made repeat orders easier to arrange.

The installation gave the customer a dedicated primary packaging stage for compact wet tissue products and provided a practical foundation for future downstream bundling or case packing.

The DB-WT-110P is a wet tissue packing machine rather than a complete wet wipes production line. Buyers must separately confirm the upstream folding, wetting, cutting, and product-discharge process.
