Automatic Pocket Tissue Packing for an Indonesian Consumer Paper Supplier

In 2025, a consumer paper supplier in Indonesia added an automatic pocket tissue packing system for its branded retail products. The project focused on improving the connection between folded tissue feeding, individual film wrapping, sealing, and finished-pack discharge.

Project Requirement

The customer supplied pocket tissues to supermarkets, convenience stores, and regional distributors. As order quantities increased, manual handling between the folding and packing stages made it difficult to maintain a consistent pack shape and printed-film position.

The customer needed a compact automatic solution that could accept folded pocket tissue, maintain orderly product feeding, track the printed film, and discharge completed packs at regular intervals.

Equipment Setup and Testing

The packing equipment was adjusted according to the customer's folded tissue size, sheets per pack, finished-pack dimensions, and printed-film sample. During trial production, the team checked tissue feeding, product positioning, film tracking, sealing temperature, cutting position, and pack spacing on the conveyor.

The touchscreen control allowed operators to monitor the production status and save practical settings for the approved tissue and film combination. Finished samples were inspected for pack shape, sealing appearance, printed-design position, and opening performance.

Result

The new equipment created a more organized process from folded pocket tissue to finished retail packs. Individual packs moved through the wrapping section in a regular sequence, reducing repeated manual adjustment at the discharge end.

The customer also achieved a more consistent presentation for its branded pocket tissue products, while the recorded operating settings made routine production and future repeat orders easier to manage.
