Compact Pocket Tissue Packing for a Philippine Retail Tissue Supplier

In 2025, a retail tissue supplier in the Philippines added an automatic pocket tissue packing system for compact everyday-carry packs. The project focused on controlling product feeding, printed-film positioning, sealing, and finished-pack discharge within one continuous process.

Project Background and Requirement

The customer supplies pocket tissues through convenience stores, pharmacies, and travel-product distributors in the Philippines, where compact pack formats are sold as low-cost impulse items. The packing solution therefore had to suit a retail-driven product mix rather than a single fixed order.

The main concern was maintaining a consistent package shape while keeping the printed design correctly positioned during regular production. The equipment also needed to handle the approved folded tissue stack without repeated manual straightening before wrapping.

Setup and Production Trial

The packing section was adjusted using the customer's folded tissue samples and packaging film. Trial checks covered stack dimensions, infeed-guide width, product spacing, film tension, registration-mark detection, sealing temperature, and cutting position.

Particular attention was given to the transition between the tissue infeed and wrapping section. Stable spacing at this point helped prevent two stacks from entering together and reduced the need for correction inside the packing area.

Result

The completed setup provided a clearer production route from folded pocket tissue stacks to individually wrapped retail packs. Finished packs travelled through the discharge section in a more regular sequence, making sample inspection and final collection easier for the operators.

The customer also obtained a repeatable setup for its main pack format, helping maintain a more consistent appearance across recurring retail orders.
