India Pocket Tissue Project: Full-Servo Dual-Channel Line (2024)
In 2024, a full-servo dual-channel pocket tissue production line was supplied to a tissue converter in India. The project was planned around portable pocket tissue packs for retail and wholesale distribution, with stable high-speed output and flexible adjustment for different tissue sizes and sheet counts.

Project Background and Requirements
The customer needed one integrated production line covering paper feeding, folding, cutting, stacking and individual pack wrapping. The line also had to support different pocket tissue formats without manual transfer of intermediate products between disconnected machines.
The principal requirements included full-servo control, dual-channel production, stable pack formation, adjustable sheet counts and compatibility with downstream bundling or carton-packing equipment.
Equipment Solution
The selected DB-W-200P full-servo high-speed dual-channel pocket tissue production line integrates the primary converting and packing processes into one continuous line. The production configuration supports:
-
Standard and portable pocket tissue packs
-
Full-servo dual-channel operation
-
2-ply, 3-ply and 4-ply base paper
-
Rated output of 160–200 packs/min
-
Parent-roll width of 195–200 mm
-
Unfolded tissue sizes from 175–200 × 175–200 mm
-
Folded tissue sizes from 88–100 × 59–70 mm
-
Adjustable sheet counts from 7–28 sheets per pack
-
Downstream bundling and carton-packing connection
Final configuration depends on the finished pack format, base-paper specification, target output, downstream packing method and available floor space. Buyers comparing pocket tissue lines can review the pocket tissue production solution for related line options.
Installation and Production
Before manufacturing, the customer supplied samples of the intended pocket tissue packs. The folding size, number of sheets, packaging-film dimensions and sealing settings were matched to the required retail formats.
During commissioning, the line was tested as one continuous production process. Particular attention was paid to tissue transfer, pack alignment, sealing quality and synchronization between the two production channels.
Project Results
The completed line allowed folded tissues to move directly into stacking and packing without unnecessary manual transfer. The dual-channel layout increased output, while the servo control system supported consistent pack dimensions and easier production adjustment. The customer could also prepare different retail formats by changing the tissue and packaging settings.
