Project Background

In 2025, a tissue manufacturer in Saudi Arabia planned an equipment project covering toilet paper rewinding and finished-product wrapping.

The customer wanted to review these two stages together so that the roll specifications used for rewinding would also be considered when selecting the wrapping equipment.

The project focused on equipment compatibility and production planning, including the intermediate cutting and transfer arrangements required between rewinding and wrapping.

Customer Requirements

The customer required:

• A non-stop rewinding solution for toilet paper production.

Proposed Solution

The proposed equipment package combined the DB-R300 Non-Stop Rewinder Line with the DB-TR-120P Automatic Toilet Tissue Paper Wrapping Machine.

The DB-R300 was selected for the rewinding stage, while the DB-TR-120P was considered for wrapping the finished toilet paper rolls.

Project planning linked the two selections through a common finished-product specification. Roll dimensions and packaging requirements were reviewed together to reduce the risk of selecting equipment around inconsistent assumptions.

The production flow also required an intermediate cutting stage and suitable product transfer arrangements. These were treated as separate items to be confirmed within the overall project scope; the two named machines alone were not presented as a complete converting line.

Layout planning considered material loading, intermediate handling, wrapping-material access, and finished-package collection.

Installation & Commissioning

The rewinding and wrapping stages were checked separately against their agreed requirements.

Rewinding trials assessed paper feeding and log formation. Wrapping trials used finished rolls matching the agreed specification to assess feeding, package appearance, and product condition.

The workflow review then considered how logs would be cut and how finished rolls would reach the wrapping machine. This helped identify the handling arrangements required between the two supplied equipment stages.

Operating references were recorded for the tested products, with inspection points defined for both rewinding and wrapping.
