Tissue Machinery Exhibition Checklist for Buyers
A tissue machinery exhibition gives buyers a rare chance to compare equipment, discuss production requirements and meet several suppliers in one place. A productive visit, however, takes more preparation than collecting catalogs and watching machines run.
Before attending a trade show, define what you want to produce, how much output you need and how the new equipment will fit into your factory. With that information, suppliers can recommend a practical configuration instead of a general quotation.
Define the Finished Tissue Product First
Start with the finished product rather than the machine model. Decide whether the project involves facial tissues, paper napkins, folded hand towels, toilet rolls, kitchen towels or another tissue format.
Prepare the following information:
-
Finished sheet or roll dimensions
-
Number of plies
-
Fold type or perforation length
-
Embossing requirements
-
Sheets per pack or rolls per package
-
Target production output
-
Intended retail or commercial market
Product samples are especially useful. A physical sample helps the supplier understand the required folding pattern, paper texture, embossing and packaging format.
Prepare the Parent-Roll Information
The converting machine must match the raw material you can actually source. Bring the parent-roll width, diameter, core size, paper grammage, number of plies and tissue grade.
If several paper grades will be used, explain the expected range. A machine configured for only one paper condition may not perform the same way when the material changes.
Record the Factory Conditions
Machine selection also depends on the installation environment. Prepare a simple workshop layout showing the available length, width and height.
The supplier may also need:
-
Local voltage and frequency
-
Available compressed air
-
Planned operator positions
-
Raw-material storage area
-
Finished-product handling space
-
Access routes for installation
-
Connection with existing packaging equipment
These details help identify whether a standalone machine, semi-automatic line or fully automatic production line is more suitable.
Compare More Than Maximum Speed
Advertised speed alone does not describe actual production performance. During a machine demonstration, observe paper feeding, tension stability, fold consistency, counting accuracy and finished-product discharge.
Ask how the machine performs during product changes, normal stops and material variation. Also check how operators reach the folding, cutting and transmission sections for cleaning and maintenance.
Prepare the Same Questions for Every Supplier
Use one consistent question set when comparing suppliers:
-
Which configuration matches the finished product?
-
What information is needed before production?
-
Which parts change when the product size changes?
-
What daily maintenance is required?
-
Which spare parts should be kept in stock?
-
What installation and operator training are provided?
-
How is remote technical support handled?
-
Can relevant machine projects be provided?
A consistent checklist makes quotations easier to compare after the exhibition.
After the Exhibition
Organize supplier information by product suitability, machine configuration, automation level, service scope and total project requirements. Do not compare quotations until the technical scope of each proposal is clear.

Planning to Discuss a Tissue Production Project?
Send us your finished product, parent-roll specification, target output, factory layout and packaging requirements before the exhibition or online meeting, and our team can prepare a suitable equipment configuration for discussion.
