High-Output Hand Towel Folding Machine Installed in Egypt in 2022
In 2022, a tissue converter in Egypt added a hand towel folding machine to expand its supply of folded paper towels for hotels, offices, restaurants, and commercial washrooms. The project focused on steady running with the customer's own parent-roll paper and on producing orderly folded stacks for the next packing stage.
Project Background and Requirement
The customer needed a machine that could run its available parent-roll paper steadily and deliver uniform folded towel stacks for downstream packing. Consistent sheet length, controlled paper feeding, and orderly collection mattered more than running at the maximum published speed.
The equipment also had to fit into an existing workshop and leave sufficient access for roll preparation, cleaning, and routine maintenance.
Equipment Solution
The DB-N-225 hand towel folding machine was selected for the project. Its paper-feeding and folding sections were adjusted according to the customer's tissue grade and required finished towel size. The configuration also included automatic collection to reduce repeated manual sorting at the discharge end.
During commissioning, the web tension, roller gap, cutting position, folding alignment, and collection timing were checked using the customer's own paper. Separate settings were recorded for the main paper grades because lighter and heavier tissue required different operating conditions.
Project Result
After adjustment, the machine produced more consistent folded hand towel stacks and maintained a smoother production flow during regular shifts. The automatic collection section presented the towels in a more orderly form, making downstream handling easier to arrange.
For a similar project, confirm the parent-roll width and diameter, paper basis weight, finished towel dimensions, fold requirement, target output, discharge direction, and packing method before finalizing the machine configuration.
