After a tissue converting machine is installed, trial production is the next important step before regular operation. The goal is to confirm that the machine can run safely, smoothly and produce acceptable finished tissue products. This guide lists the key points customers should check before starting trial production.
1. Confirm Machine Installation
Before testing, make sure the main machine parts are installed correctly. Check whether the machine is leveled, guards are in place, fasteners are tightened and no tools or foreign objects are left inside the working area.
2. Check Electrical and Air Systems
Confirm that the electrical connections, control panel, sensors, motors and pneumatic components have been checked by qualified personnel. Air pressure should be stable if the machine uses pneumatic systems. Do not start trial production if any connection looks abnormal.
3. Run a No-Load Test
A no-load test means running the machine without raw material first. During this test, check the running direction, machine movement, abnormal noise, vibration and emergency stop function. If the machine runs normally without load, the team can prepare for material feeding.
4. Prepare Raw Materials
Prepare suitable parent rolls, packaging film or other materials required for the tissue product. The raw material should match the machine requirements and the target finished product. Poor raw material condition may affect folding, cutting, rewinding or packaging during trial production.
5. Check the First Finished Products
During the first trial production, check the finished tissue appearance carefully. Pay attention to product size, folding effect, cutting edge, roll tightness, embossing quality and packaging condition depending on the machine type. Small adjustments may be needed before stable production.
6. Record Trial Production Results
Record any abnormal noise, unstable movement, material breakage or product quality issue during the test. Share photos or videos with the supplier if support is needed.
